Largest waho ever
 
Caught on the"Anna Lisa " Capt John Mazzella said this was the biggest Wahoo ever caught in Northern waters. She  was landed in the Dip South of Montauk. By the wieght and the girth this Wahoo was 140 lbs

 
Montauk Thresher
 
Here are some pictures of the thresher we caught last Saturday 07/07/07. We got into the dock about 9:00, so the pictures are dark. The fish jumped on @ 11:00 AM and we fought him 4 hours on a Penn Int 50 with 80 # test line. Finally we killed him around 3:00 pm. We couldn't pull him into the boat so we towed him back to Montauk. 35 miles is a long way @ 8 knots.The measurements and weight of the shark were 557 lbs, 102" fork length, 94" tail length.. The boat's name is "KEEPER" and is a 26' Fortier.

The Jetties near Montauk Harbor Inlet are a great place to go and watch the sun set over Gardiners Bay. Montauk Marine Basin is located only a few minutes walk from the inlet, as well as a multitude of shops and restaurants in the Harbor Area.

Cod Fishing Best in Years
 
Scott Schafer single handed on board the "50/50" fishing out on Montauk Marine Basin returned with 42 Cod up to 31 lbs and a 3 lb Snow Shoe Flounder. What a day of fishing !!! Next Time I am sure is friends will go when asked !!!!!!!!!!
